AeroFly Pro is by far the most realistic Flight Simulator on the market today. The flying characteristics reassemble actual RC models. The AeroFly Pro includes new features such as constant close ups to better help train the modeler on orientation and proper flight directions as well as smoke parameters, angled views and many other features.

AeroFly pro is available in two versions, interface version and commander version. The Interface version will plug directly into your existing radio transmitter using the trainer plug.

The commander version will includes a transmitter unit ( looks exactly like the real thing ) which will plug into your personal computer’s joystick port. The advantage of using the commander version is that it can always stay connected to your PC and no batteries are needed to operate it.

Also, the commander version can be used with other flight sims such as the FMS and others.

The AeroFly is the best tool you can possibly get in your toolbox for better training and to teach yourself proper orientation skills, compensation skills and torque adjustments skills.

We at HeliHobby guaranteed that the AeroFly Pro will make you a better flyer . . .

Superb Graphics
Each model is designed from actual pictures of real models. Some models feature more than 15000 polygons to achieve the highest realism possible with moving control surfaces and transparent canopies

Collision Detection
AeroFly Professional includes one of the most sophisticated collision detection engines ever designed. Airplanes can even break apart. The picture shows a close-up right after the PT40 crashed into the fence.

Autorotation
Practice auto-rotation landing. Don’t worry, crashing in AeroFly Professional is much cheaper than in real life.

Two Player Splitscreen
Tired of flying all by yourself ? Invite your friend and fly with him on the same computer either with a joystick or a second interface cable. Using a unique split screen mode you can practice glider towing or compete in different contests.

Torque Rolls
Did you ever want to practice Torque Rolls like the TOC experts ? Nothing easier than that, AeroFly Professional features 3 acrobatic airplanes. The Cap232 has been setup together with the world class pilots Wolfgang and Roland Matt.

Contests
Test and improve your flying skills by trying one of the 4 contest types. Practice your helicopter skills in the Drag-Racing contest or improve your landing accuracy using the Spot Landing contest.

Flight Recording
Record your flights and play them back while you fly around. You can also exchange your recorded flights with other AeroFly Professional users on the internet.

Glider Towing
Practice glider towing using the PT40 tow machine. You can either try this in two player mode or control both airplanes using the same control.

Does AeroFly Professional work with Windows XP or Windows 2000 ?

Yes it does. However Windows XP and 2000 are not being shipped with OpenGL hardware accelerated graphic drivers. Before running AeroFly Professional, install a driver with OpenGL support. Check our list of manufacturer websites.

Does AeroFly Professional work on laptops ?

Yes it does, on some laptops. So far we can only recommend laptops for AeroFly Professional with a full 3D graphic chip. Laptops with a GeForce2Go or ATI Mobility Radeon will work fine. The CPU speeds of these laptops should be over 800Mhz.

The program freezes or suddenly stops without an error message.

If you experience occasional program freezes without an error message then in 95% of the time it is a problem with the video card drivers. Update your drivers and see if the problem goes away. It can also be an overheating problem in the computer or card incompatibilities. Ensure your computer is properly vented.

The problem may also be sound card drivers. Update your drivers and see if the problem goes away

System Requirenents

Due to the detailed 3D graphics and the time consuming physics simulation it is highly recommended that your computer system matches the following requirements to achieve a smooth simulation speed. Please also read our special section about graphic cards right here. Using the right combination of CPU and 3D graphic card is important.
You won’t see any performance difference between a AMD Athlon 800Mhz and an AMD Athlon XP 1600 in combination with a Nvidia GeForce2 MX 200 when using AeroFly Professional. This card will block all CPU’s faster than 800Mhz.

Minimum

100% Pentium II compatible processor with at least 450Mhz
64MB RAM
160MB free hard disc memory
CD-ROM drive
OpenGL ICD compatible graphic card with at least 16MB (also read here)
100% DirectX compatible sound card
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP with DirectX version 8.0a or higher
A free serial port (COM port) and a trainer output on your transmitter

Optimum

Pentium II or III with 700Mhz
AMD Athlon with 700Mhz
128MB RAM
OpenGL ICD compatible graphic card with 32MB
Supported transmitters

Graupner (FM314, MC10, MC12, MC16/20, MC18, MC22, MC24, ...)
JR
Multiplex (2020,3030, 4040)
Sanwa
Robbe
Futaba (F14, FC16, FC18, FC28, ...) and the new Futaba FX-18
HITEC

Which Video Card should be used:

Please note that the amount of memory of a 3D graphic card does not necessarily reflect the overall performance of the card. Especially the Nvidia GeForce2 MX range of graphic chips have huge performance differences. The Geforce2 MX 200 has only half the memory bandwith of the GeForce2 MX 400 card and we do not recommend this card for use with AeroFly Professional.

Recommended Graphic cards

Nvidia GeForce2 Ti/Ultra/Pro/MX 400/256
Nvidia GeForce3 and GeForce 4
Ati Radeon
The following cards are not recommend for use with AeroFly Professional

Nvidia GeForce2 MX 200 (even the 64MB cards are not worth their money, these cards are even slower than the older Nvidia TNT2)
Nvidia Riva128
ATI XPert
ATI All In Wonder
ATI Rage
3dfx Voodoo1, Voodoo2, Voodoo3, Banshee
