Rock-solid rigidity realized from a newly developed control system
The EP Caliber 400 that took 3D flight for electric powered helis outdoors has just evolved even further into the EP Caliber 400XP version. The distance of each pitch control lever has been widened to realize increased rigidity of control axis and reduced play. The adoption of a metal swash plate, fixed rudder servo and tail boom, and carbon main frame etc. comprise some of the 20 components that have been upgraded or improved for a more direct control feel. Even more maneuverability is achieved through stable increased power and the use of a Li-Poly battery allows a newly designed battery mount in the nose to be positioned closer to the front. This realizes an optimum distribution of mass and results in greater agility. Across all facets of EP helicopter performance. the XP represents not only the most advanced technology, but the most enjoyable flying experience as well. With the combination of a brushless motor system and lithium polymer batteries the XP will open the flight envelope to new levels.
