M5 computer controlled sub micro receiver. Sophisticated microcontroller and advanced dual conversion circuitry into a package 22% smaller than the Extreme 5. Simply put this receiver contains a small microchip in the decoder circuitry that analyzes each frame of data ignores noise spikes and if noise level from any source ever gets to the point where it cannot be ignored the receiver will failsafe. The M5 failsafe is improved over the Extreme series as well. This improvement enables the M5 keep track of valid frames of data. The SMART decoder does not degrade receiver performance measurably from a standard PPM decoder insofar as servo speed and granularity (Stepping) is concerned. The net result is that the M5 receiver can fly through even deliberate interference and not reflect that in the flight path.
