This is one of the last remaining original kits with the belt driven tail and the lighter plastic parts. This helicopter was replaced very quickly with full metal versions, however it is still all new technology and it flies terrific!

This is Align’s upgraded version of their Trex 500 helicopter the 500 Electric Super Pro. Besides the addition of cyclic servos the upgraded version is packaged with all the CNC metal upgrades such as metal mixing arms, metal bearing blocks, metal tail servo mount, upgraded CNC metal tail, CF paddles and tail blades as well as many other things. It comes with the torque tube driven tail to increase performance. This is simply an amazing package and is even equipped with a new beautiful canopy!

Now including the GP780 gyro and DS520 digital tail servo the new Align 500ESP package is everything you will need to build your helicopter. Packaged with the DS510 digital cyclic servos, 500M Brushless motor w/60amp speed controller, Carbon Fiber high quality blades and all the components of the airframe. The new version Align Trex 500ESP 3G Flybarless comes equipped with a 3-axis gyroscopic flybarless system to simulate the stability of mechanical flybar equipped helicopters with the additon of real time corrections actually being managed by the sensors. The FLB unit utilizes Silicon Micro Machine (SMM) sensors for excellent stability and 12 bit processors providing ultra high resolution resulting in extremely precise controls leaving you feeling more connected than ever! The software is upgradable through a PC interface adapter (sold separately) to make setup even simplier. Simplistic setup process without the need of external devices is still possible and easy, setup is done through 5 steps and 2 sensitivity adjustments. Rudder setup is identical to GP780 gyro, minimizing the learning curve.

Flybarless systems dramatically improve 3D power output and efficiency, resulting in reduced fuel or electricity consumption. Highly sensitive gyroscopic sensors combined with advanced control detection routine providing higher hovering and aerobatic stability than other flybarless system. High frame rate signal output for faster and higher precision servo response and it is capable to operate between 3V to 8.4V so it IS compatible with high voltage servos

This is the new Trex 500 ESP packaged with everything you need to start flying.
